On a side-note, this is the runner that Beatrice and I sat next to on the way over. He's doing his PHd at the moment. Pretty impressive!!

well done to everyone who took part
i knocked over 30 minutes off my goodwood time - don't feel to stiff at the moment so good sign that i can do better next year and hopefully my bonts will have been broken in by then
great race
highlights
- watching people breaking as soon as anything other than smooth, flat, straight road was ahead of them, and A-framing around corners - Oh well that what you get for starting in group H
- people cheering you around and all the other skaters really made a difference
- boucing Gav (Tigger from here on in) at the after-party |

| I've got a load of other people in the spreadsheet now, Rachel, Tom, Tammy, Craig, etc. Please let me know any names I may have missed out. Is Richard Christie = Kiwi Rich? |

XSFRED, who is well known to forum users. He was skating in the block C pack with me; unfortunately just as I was moving up to say hi to him, he went down along with a few others - I spoke to him at the end and he was looking fairly unscathed.

Anne-Jelmer has posted here quite a few times recently. We were skating together in the Block C pack.

Barbara Grahame is FNS marshal, came with Markus
Kathryn Davies also an FNS marshal
Bea & I met Liz Butler at the party, and told her about the club. She was with others.
Don't know Sunny Carter or Josephine Ingo

That was a great race. Berlin is always a bit special, but with the glorious weather this year it was really super.
It was great to see so many LSST skaters - and everyone seemed to have a new PB!
I was amazed at my time - 1:19:33 was beyond my expectations; I did a fast time 2 weeks before in Rotterdam so I knew I was going well, but it was still something else to skate 5 minutes faster in Berlin. Those Stargrip wheels are obviously the business - many thanks to our sponsor.
Running the marathon on Sunday was a lot harder; it was my first running marathon, and I was just glad to be able to run the whole way. It was quite a different experience jogging around at 6mph; you certainly appreciate the crowds, the music and the whole atmosphere a lot more. |

That was seriously fun. My primary goal was to get around the course without tripping over my skates, but I figured I'd be happy if I could knock twenty minutes of Goodwood (for a 1:40) and pretty much ecstatic with a 1:30. So, 1:24 kind of made my day.
Anyway, that should get me out of H next time ... the first half felt like marshalling a street skate.
Some lower back pain and my shins ache, though that's probably partly attributable to having slept on a bench at the airport last night. |

| What a great weekend! My previous PB was 1h44 at Hamburg this year and it was my third marathon (that includes London last year), so i am delighted with my time of 1:22. My personal highlights are: Having a LSST mini pace line: it was a great team work, a huge thanks to Alistair, Duracell and Rich; being able to skate with so many skaters:more than 8000 and apprently the biggest world inline skating marathon and jumping between pacelines; and lastly that great after party till the wee hours of the morning (man i was so hangover the next day!). To be repeated !! A big thank you to everyone that made this weekend possible, LSST is defintively a great team to be in! |

Ok, I've posted the latest image of the spreadsheet, it'll auto-replace at the top of this page, though you might have to do a refresh. Hopefully there aren't too many I've missed out this time round. Sorry to you all!

| You know, one thing this really does demonstrate is that we ought to be more consistent about what the name of our team is when we enter events ;-) |
