My Fila Matrix are 324 mm or 12.8", or the standard length of 5*80. The 4*100 wheels do give a higher traction than the 5*80 though, but less than the 5*84.

I tried some shorter Diabolik 4*100 proto, and found them too maneuvrable : fun to use, awkward at higher speed.

I suppose a 340 mm 4*100 would give even more traction, but then I am not happy with the wider gap between wheels.

Hybrid 2*100+2*110 widely available in 2007.

I have no plans to compete for a National title Smile. All races I take part in (marathons, FIC, WIC) do not care.

Anyway the 4*100 definitely is a good solution, most everybody in Group B were using it in Berlin.

The odd one out was Quentin wearing some broken FSKs with worn out 84mm wheels and cruddy bearings holding him back to 1h15m40s

I just spoke to Daniel Junker about 4*100 frames. He recommended a new brand called "Cado Motus". Apparently they are designed by a former Mogema employee, and CNC-machined from a single block.

Does anyone have any knowledge about this new brand ? Searching on the internet results in virtually nothing...
