A few of us are going to start doing weekday morning 'long slow skates' in Hyde Park, as it seems that many of us have some flexibility about work start times.
Those who've expressed interest so far (in a thread in the members area) are:
Glenn, Rick, Simon, Gav, Garanj, Dan_B, LouisT and yours truly. Smile

The first one we're planning on meeting up for is next Tuesday, 5th December.

Serpentine Road from around 8am to 9am.  No particular meeting place - just start a warm-up skate along Serp Road, and you'll bump into someone else within a few minutes...

Not an LSST exclusive, so feel free to let others know / post on Serp Road etc.

Damn had I known it was Tuesday earlier I could have confirmed I can't make it that day.

Now Monday, might have been a different story....

Guess it teachs me I should trawl the forum for ALL associated threads no matter how dispersed  Laughing  Laughing  Laughing

Rain predicted Tuesday; Sunny wednesday - when will a call be made as to whether its on tomorrow - are people just going to look at the window and see if its wet - what if its wet but not raining?

Personally, I'm planning to try out my Junkers for the first time, and will only be going if both the following conditions are met when I wake up tomorrow morning:
- it's dry (not damp, not raining)
- the rain-radar maps show this is likely to continue for the next hour or two...
{If you don't have these in your 'favourites' already, I recommend saving them there now: BBC rain radar site, Met Office rain radar site.}

Others may come even if it's pouring down.  Opinions as to bearable skating weather differ... Smile

I think I might skate anyway, rain or not: I left my bike at work and need to get there somehow.  Embarassed
