| Yes, everyone who helps clear up gets first dibs on any of Sol's brownies left unsold! |

My trophy? I should be so lucky.
Finish time is no longer an issue as Liya is going to come down to Tatem at some point.
Should be around to help afterwards (not that the brownies was the clincher). |

I might be coming, and maybe giving it a go...who determines which Cat I'll be in, and which one is that likely to be (3 or 4)?
<edit>Ah, answer found...I just read this post </edit>
Oh, and what time (roughly) do you think it'll finish? |

| And here is a pretty bad photo of the wildly attractive trophies you'll be winning. |

FISS members you have till tonight to enter online on the FISS site. Rats, you can enter on the day, yay!
Don't forget to bring your FISS cards and Mr Helmut, you won't be able to skate without him.
And remember... Sol is making brownies, Sol is making brownies... |

| I'm still hoping to come along on Sunday, having joined FISS last weekend. However, I've got to take my daughter back to Bristol uni on Sat, then staying with one of my sisters overnight in Winchester, so I'll have to be persuasive to get an early enough start for Tatem! |

See, people would travel for miles for some of Sol's brownies!
I've got a recipe for chilli and white chocolate ones, shall I give it a go? |

Wow! What a fantastic day! I'm trying to think what could have made our opener any better and there really isn't a lot!
After a really iffy forecast, we had great attendance from other clubs. In the event the rain stayed well clear, in fact at one point mid afternoon we actually had sunshine breaking through!
We saw some great racing, competitive but very friendly. Very few fallers - but even those that did, dealt with so efficiently by our First Aiders. We had some podium presence which is always great, but also great performances from all of our members.
We saw fantastic organisation headed up by the ever capable Nats and many many others (Nats has posted a seperate Thank you thread) which meant everything ran oh so smooth (although we must fix the thermostat on the urn - can't have the officials waiting on their teas )
The venue generally with so many people, and the track specifically with its fresh (-sometimes wet!) markings looked fantastic (I have genuinely never seen the place looking like this, very different to training on Tuesdays! Now I just can't wait for the potential resurface)
Best of all for me was the number of members (new and old, racers and spectators, helpers and officials and so on) that showed up. It really was a sea of blue at some points which was fantastic. Everyone seemed so enthusiastic and supportive of each other. New members (racing or otherwise - well done Orsi in her first Rat race!) went away eagerly enquiring when the next race meeting was!
A really big thanks from me to all who attended and to those of you that couldn't make it, honestly you must try and come along to the next one - really, ask anyone that came!
Now when is the next meet, got to catch Ed!.....
...and some more piccy's here in the gallery
Thank you all. |

Thank you and the committee for a really well organised event. I really enjoyed it despite the embarrassment of losing to a bunch of tots!
PS. Did any one find a white plastic bag with a pair of men's underpants and socks- both black. |

Your underwear is in the (#1) Podium in the back of the child protection officers car (Sol)
Regarding your comments, if you were to (loosely) include James Ashby as a 'tot' then I'm afraid it happens to all of us
Thanks and thank you for attending |
