Nice Tanya! Although that is cheating slightly going with the fitness skaters
I just got a call from Ben Alchin asking if I was in Berlin and going to meet him at the party cos he needs his drinking buddy. Sigh |

| Some really impressive times there, especially all those LSST finishing in the top of B group. Really well done, and guess you must have had loads of fun skating together. |

Just back. I am sore in three places - two knees, one lower back - but can only remember stacking on one of them. Happy to take three minutes off my marathon PB, not so happy to be four seconds slower than Ed even if I did beat him across the line (he started further back). I'll get you next time ;-)
Full report to follow when I've had a bit more sleep |

felt a bit ill and not really got the interval speed this year, so fancied skating with people i knew better... B was pretty piss easy, only really skated for the line (where i discovered I'd made the right decision)
hahaha....

Woo hoo! Knocked off 2 minutes off my PB (disregarding Engadin), despite what I felt were tougher conditions than last year (it was rather warm) - so well pleased with that.
I'll spare everyone the 600 word report...
I wouldn't say it was "piss easy", but it was certainly made easier when I eventually caught up with Fred, Dan and Greazer - a big thanks to Fred for doing the majority of my race thinking for me :)
Get well soon to those that fell, and a big well done to all.

Hey, I've waited four years to finish faster than you in a race!

Nah, long bit of string tied to your leg...it rolled in just before 1:16:05 (5 secs after Dan) on the left hand side - it looks like it got caught on a podgy skater in a blue skinsuit and red helmet.
Roll on Cologne! |

Very, very happy taking 11mins off my PB
...but really annoyed I tied my skates too tight and hobbled throughout the 2nd half
wasn't feeling tired....didn't have power drain (my normal problem)...wonders what time I would've got.... |

Well done Kay and Eugene - you're both mad!
I must say that I was pleasantly surprised by Yaroslav's (Yarick) performance, especially the first half which he did in 00:37:47. He went off like the clappers and did superb.

Seems like quite a lot of tumbles in this one, but luckily nothing serious. Rick, Sol and Kevin had the worst, hope you all recover quickly. Del (twice), Alan, Kevin, Dan, myself and think few others too took a fall at some points, hopefully just some bruises and sores for everyone...
Great time all in all. Like this year's Expo at the closed Tempolhof airport. Preferred the old warehouse to the new E4 venue for the after-party though. |
