I think Tom, (his friend) and I are going to do this.

Official entry closes tomorrow, but I've not registered yet.  Trying to work that one out.

http://www.emitremmus.org.uk/

I've emailed the man who's in charge about the entry deadline (I've not entered yet either).  I'll post his reply.

I'm thinking that it may be ok to just turn up on the day, but you may not get a number/brevet card.

Perhaps a mod or tanya could edit the title: "Stevenage Emitremmus"

Want me to move the video review?  I'm hoping to do more than the one, I just want to see how it fits in with Adrian's and everyone else's wishes.

Thanks for reminding me.  I sent off entries for Kay and myself today.

I wouldn't expect the entry deadline to be that hard a deadline - it is a fairly relaxed event - but I am sure the organisers would appreciate entries now rather than on the line.

Filling out the form now.   I'm going to tick the 5-5.5 hour box, but I expect it doesn't matter that much

For the benefit of them wot are new to Audax, the stuff that doesn't appear to explained anywhere obvious is (1) that cheques are payable to the individual organiser (Jim Brown) not to Audax UK or anything like that, and (2) that C5 envelopes are available from all good stationers (or, probably, office supplies cupboard) but are not a size you're likely to have lying around unless you've done this before

I found my chequebook.  The last (and only) time I used it previously was to write a cheque for last November's Upper Thames.

Hi Tom,

Thanks for your message.

Get the entries in the post asap and that will be fine.

Look forward to seeing you on the 26th.

JIM

I'll go with your 5-5.5 dan.   I've not done anything like this before, I'm assuming that it should be really quite easy to do it in that amount of time?

Crying or Very sad  Crying or Very sad I just realised it's the day after Mini's birthday sleepover so I'll have to say no Crying or Very sad . Don't think it'll be fair to clear off early in the morning and leave Paul to cope with 5 very tired girls!

It should be very easy to do under 5.5.  Last year we did about 4:45 including lunch in a cafe.  In fact we were early to the first 2 controls, and had to wait for them to open, because being an Audax event there is a maximum speed that you are not supposed to exceed, even though me and Kay are not the world's fastest cyclists.  (Note that the wind is usually behind you on the outward stretch, and then in your face on the way back, so the first half is usually a fair bit faster.)

Fairy nuff.  I was going on my time last year from the mid-sussex hilly, though that was - as the name suggests - hilly.
