All, FYI,

Completed.
Confirmed Sunday 14:00 Uk Time (I expect most skaters out in the park or on Sunday Stroll)

I am going to migrate both LSST and LIM to a new hosting provider tonight. Some Time after 10pm UK time.

This will result in the following :

The forum will be unavaillable for about 30 minutes while I proceed notably with copying its content and swithing DNS. Will show a message "Under maintenance", even for Admins.
The DNS change may take some time to propagate on the Internet. If you are hitting the old server, you will be redirected to a specific adress (vserver.londonspeedskaters.com) that already points to the new hosting today. Therefore the transition period should be transparent to you, except that the auto-login feature will not work -you may need to ahthenticate youself.

By changing hosting provider I expect notably

to have sites at provider that takes customer support more seriously than where we are currently hosted.
hopefully less trouble of performance [I hope I am right !!!]

Time appears to be out on the current server by almost 1 hour. It's not a GMT GMT+1 profile thing as my settings are correct.

It is a problem they have quite often. Cannot do anything.
[You have the link to the support forum if you are curious about this.... Actually, not, their forum were hacked and not backed up regurlarly, and these cases are likelly to have been lost]

One of something I expect to not get anymore once moved !

DNS Caching / propagation onto the Internet

If you still see the blue message "*** MAINTENANCE COMPLETED - [If you see still this message, click here for info] ***",
it means that you are currently on the temporary URL I put in place to allow you to access the right site even if
the new DNS is not fully propagated on the Intenet.

It should disapear within 24 or 48 hours.

If it persists, try the following link : http://www.londonspeedskaters.com/forums/--p14527.php#14527

If you still see the message, it means that the new DNS did not propagate to the DNS cache your provided uses
You are still directed at the old site.
If you don't see the message, just make sure you are using the official URL http://www.londonspeedskaters.com
in the future, and not http://vserver.londonspeedskaters.com

You can possibly vote the pool at the top of this page about this matter,
just for me to know how long it takes to people to get directed to the
appropriate site after a move.

If you encounter problems apparently due to the move, or if you think there are performance issue (etc), please post feedback here.

The old server will remain set up for 1 week, ready for a rollback in case of major problem. (I hope not as I want to cancel that hosting in one month time)

Was not able to see by my own, because I think that when I was alone, I was victime of memory caching....
