For anyone around Tring/Berkhamsted/Aylesbury on Saturday 29th November, there'll be an action packed ride encompassing all of the above, and more.
Approximately 50 miles and roughly covering this route.
It'll be a steady pace with a few big hills near the start, but nice & gentle towards the end.
Meet at 10 am in the big car park at Tring Station. Aiming to be back by 4.00 - 4.30 pm |
Am considering it - it probably won't be too fast, but I'm Firebroxing on Friday so that suits me fine. Euston->Tring is a regular service, ~40 minutes
Tanya says Tom has some other ride the same day? |

I was planning on coming up with a route round herts/essex, but if there is already a ride elsewhere that day I'm happy to do that instead.
Unless people want to do our own thing, in which case I'll get busy with a map.
Dan, do you have any idea how fast the airfields ride will be?
Edit: Oooo...that airfields route goes right past a small nuclear bunker that's in good nick. I never pass up the opportunity to go down a hole when I get the chance....although I was going to incorporate one into my route as well. |

| FNRttC pace is 20-25k on the flat bits (average speed is lower due to stops, uphills, regroups, etc etc) so I would guess something similar. |

| Alas I have plans for the evening so I will have to decline on this occasion. I could be tempted by something more local if anyone wants to organise or thinks of a route. |

| I'm free this weekend so I'd be up for it if the weather it good. It's just a turn up and go thing isn't it? |

Looks perfick to me.
The train is run by London Midland, who say:
"We welcome cycles on board all our off-peak services free of charge, and many of our newer trains have dedicated spaces within them specifically for cycles." |

They also offer the 4 for 2 Groupsave on that route, so if you buy all the tickets together, instead of £48.80 (£12.20 each) costs only £24.40 (£5.60 each |

I'm thinking of giving it a go, I'll trail behind Andy...
Dan, I assume your definition / perception of "won't be too fast" is exactly that? |

| Forecast is a bit dodgy for Saturday. Fingers crossed. My waterproofs are not all that for riding. |
