For anyone following the thread on the Bont forum. It looks like Marcello Bresin is actually getting this thing off the ground. Should be a great laugh as it is being organised as a fun event. Many of his articles are wind ups but this one is not....as far as I can tell.
Need to register by then end of July and he needs 100 skaters to make it a goer.

It's 45€ plus flights and accommodation etc but it should be possible to book a package holiday it we double up. It's right next to Playa de las Americas where there are loads of hotels. It's friday to Sunday though so it needs to be a package that is early to mid week and not travelling at the weekend.
Note that no national team members are allowed but other than that anyone over 30 can compete though they do ask that you have decent racing experience. Not sure what that means at this point.
Course looks pretty technical.

Price is for 2 sharing ie £272.12 each. I suspect better deals are available. |
