There are quite a few going from the Camberley side too. Sadly I can't make it, 'cos I reckon it would be great.

Would be up for it. It does fall a week before our major exams, but if we are fed up with the revisions at that point, we'll come for sure! Very Happy

I'll think about it but it could be doable. April is looking quite quiet so far in my diary.

Hi folks
This is Jo, just wanted to say thanks for all the interest.  I'm sure we're all going to enjoy a day (and a night) of good skating and fun and raise a lot of money along the way.  Keep checking the website for updates, or for more info as it occurs.
The event should I hope attract a variety of skaters, I'm hoping there might be youngsters there (at least during daylight hours!) and families too, so if you know of any recreational skaters who'd like to share the track and the day please do spread the word to them.   Skating in public can be hazardous as we all know and it's great to have a safe venue for everyone to get together at.
Looking forward to seeing you all on the track!
Jo

Hi folks
Just to let you know that sign-up for Skaiti is now CLOSED, and there are strictly no sign-ups on the day as we have filled all the places on the track.  But you can still support us by donating, sponsoring a skater or by buying a lovely Skai-tee, with all proceeds going to the charity.  Skaiter-designed and available exclusively from the Skai-tee website at http://www.actionforce.eu/skaitee

Very Happy
Jo xx

the Skai-Tees (haha) look great Jo! I'll deffo be buying one on the day!

I believe from reading sr.com that you've decided to abandon the Figure-8, which brings the lap distance down to about 1.3-1.4 miles... that is scarily close to half a Le-Mans lap.  Wink

Hey guys!
Yes Van the cross-over is going to be too hairy with 250 skaters so we're using the track as a loop.  1.4 miles approx.  I think we'll run with the faster skaters on the inside line, and the slower on the outside, for the safety of people coming on and off the track.  We want to give everyone as much room as possible and that means using the whole width of the track, fast on the inside, medium in the middle and slower on the outside. We'll be going anti-clockwise, so it means basically passing on the left, continental style.  I'll explain all that more clearly on the website nearer the time.  Glad you like the Skai-tees!  Skater designed!  Wink
PS yes it's pre-order only, so order & pay online, print your reciept and pick up your shirt at the track.  Amazing design, amazing price, and all for the charity too!

Check down the page here for a complete list :-

I'll be driving, and probably have one, two or three spaces, though I'm not sure when I'm doing what as I'd like to get a birthday party that afternoon too.
