|

I am a quad skater who's looking to buy some inline skates for outdoor skating (looking to start taking part in Wednesday and Friday night skates, which is rough and rumbly on quads). I could just get any old inlines, but I am also quite tempted by having a go at proper speed skating. I noticed several skaters at the Sunday stroll on speed skates, and it set me off thinking i might as well get a pair of those. Does anyone had any old speed skates they were looking to sell on?
I take a sz 37 in Bonts (and might even take a 36.5, but they don't do quad skates in half sizes that small). Not too bothered about wheel size given my complete newbieness |

Hi,
I have a pair of hybrid Speed/Rec skates in a 37 that I dont wear anymore.
They're rollerblades. They have a carbon boot with alluminium frame and I think 4x 90 wheels - or possibly 100's - I forget - will have to check. The inside of the boot is a bit more comfortable and the cuff higher than proper speedskates but lower than inline rec skates and the boot is carbon.
Have you found any yet? If not, then I'd be willing to sell them, for a good price (but not give them away).
If you're interested, I'll go and look for them and give you more accurate details.
Linda. |

Kay has a pair of Verducci boots - they are proper speed boots, in good condition, though you would need to source frames for them separately.
She also has a couple of pairs of good quality, but old, inlines - a pair of Rollerblade Lightning 05w and a pair Salomon DR100. They have 82mm and 78mm wheels respectively.
They are all about 37.5.
If you want them the inlines are available for a nominal amount - the Verducci's maybe 60 pounds.
You are welcome to try any of them if it would help you decide where you want to go. |

I might be interested in the Verducci's myself.
I've just had my car stolen and lost my speedskates - which were of course worth more than my car. |
