TO ALL CLUB SECRETARIES
Ashbourne Speed Skating Club would like to inform you of their intention to hold an outdoor race meeting at Birmingham Wheels, Birmingham on Sunday 19th July 2009.
All entries with accompanying correct fees are to be sent to FISS Head Office at Flat 2, Block 4, West Holme, Bordesley Village , Birmingham , B9 4NJ. The fee will be £10 for all races. (cheques payable to FISS). If paying by cheque please ensure there is enough time for it to clear before the race (7 days).
Alternatively they can be paid online at www.inlinespeed.co.uk, this needs to be done 7 days before the event date (12/07/09) to allow for programs to be made.
Entries received on the day of the event will be accepted however, this will cost an extra £5.
Could you please inform all of your members and note that the races start at 12noon with registration between 11.00am and 11.30am. The entry fees and expected race programme is as follows:
Cat 1 – 1500m & 3000m
Cat 2 – 1500m & 3000m
Cat 3 – 1000m & 3000m
Cat 4 – 1000m & 2000m
Cat 5 – 1000m & 1500m
Cat 6 – 800m & 1000m
Cat 7 – 400m & 800m
Trophies will be given to the overall winner in each category and medals for runners up.
There will be further races in the following age groups:-
Men and ladies (16+) – 5000m
13-15 yrs boys and girls (cadet) – 3000m
10-12 yrs boys and girls (pupil) - 3000m
6-9 yrs boys and girls (mini) - 1000m
Trophies will be awarded for 1st places and medals for 2nd and 3rd over the whole distance.
There will also be Rat races for non-members.
