I'm planning on doing this again this year before I start my coast to coast route check. If anyone is interested again I can do a bit of shuttling as I will be renting a car for the whole period.
Fly out Friday 1st to Atlanta
Pick up rental car and drive to Athens. Sleep
Saturday, go to briefing and do mini skate of the start then early night
Sunday skate to Atlanta then take bus back to Athens unless someone else has a car, even if only for the day, in which case drive back to Athens Monday I can drop people at the airport on in Atlanta then continue onto the Interstate to San Diego.
I expect to be in SD sometime late on Wedneday 5th or early Thursday 6th. Might pay a visit to Elese there before commencing route check back east to Jacksonville, FL. Looking out for difficult climbs, dodgy corners on downhills, cattle grids and nice places to stay, etc.
Might change my mind and fly from ATL to SD and do a one way rental to save on time, not sure yet but it means I could flay back from Orlando and do a bit of Disney or something. |

Yup I am planning for A2A again. Itinerary not certain yet but probably a long weekend trip like last year - Thursday in, Monday return, staying in Athens Sat & Sun at least.

I'd like to do it this year also. No travel plans yet, but I'd probably combine it with a weeks holiday or something.

Cool. Thinking about a meeting next month to work out transport and accommodation. Now there are so many I am less concerned about missing the night skate on Friday.

Off in a few hours. All checked in and pretty much packed. Forecast is good though I'm not sure about wind yet. Fingers crossed to achieve my final goal of the year. Only taking one set of wheels/bearings and they have to do two street skates. At least my skates are dry enough to treat the leather inside. Damn, Berlin was wet.
