First of all: Kay, Roger and Kate, it was great to see you guys at the Berlin Inline Marathon this past weekend.
Second: I just wanted to let you all know that Barry Publow will be running a SpeedCamp in Stockholm, October 12th-15th. The Camp runs over three days (+ a meet & greet on thursday night), with 5 hours of technical training each day, including video analysis of each skater. The cost of the Camp is SEK 1300, (= GBP 95 or USD 175) Accomodation and airfares are not included. If you have any questions about Barrys training abilities, you can ask Roger F, Kay B, Linda H or Kate B, who all have participated in Barrys Mallorca Camps.
At the moment there is room for three(3) more participants (40 participants all together) , so if you fancy a fun weekend in Stockholm, with one of the best inline-instructors around, drop me a line at rosengrenerik AT hotmail dot com
Cheers
Erik

October 13-15, 2006, Stockholm, Sweden
Join Barry Publow for a rare and exceptional opportunity to receive technical instruction from a World-renowned coach and writer. Barry will be assisted by Canadian Champion and experienced SpeedCamp coach Aaron Arndt. SpeedCamp ™ is an intense, interactive, and content-rich workshop for inline skaters of all abilities. From novice 4 wheels skaters to advanced competitors, everyone can benefit from going through Barry’s proven system of explanation, demonstration, practice, analysis, feedback, and correction.
Our bottom-up ‘stacking’ approach to technical development ensures that skaters build superior levels of confidence and ability. We focus on core
skills and the most fundamental aspects of body position and alignment. We then integrate dryland skating exercises with static and dynamic drills to ensure that each component of the skating stride is developed. We then focus on building in weight transfer, arm swing, and then fine tune the timing of push, glide, recovery, weight transfer, and set down. The result is the complete skater.
In a typical SpeedCamp ™ we address topics such as:
Edge control
Direction of push
Recovery of the pushing skate
Classic Technique skill progression
Weight transfer
Arm swing mechanics
Crossover steps and turns
Acceleration and sprinting
Race starts
Double-push skating technique
Hill skating and descending skills
Dryland skating and plyometrics
stretching and flexibility
pack awareness and mobility
drafting, echeloning, and pacelines
strategy and tactics
interval training and annual planning.
SpeedCamp ™ workshops are led by Canadian Coach and author of speed on Skates, Barry Publow. Every year Barry personally works with 400+ skaters of various abilities, and has developed a proven system for helping skaters achieve breakthroughs in technical performance.
The Stockholm SpeedCamp features 15 hours of instruction, practice, feedback, and video analysis

Thanks, its good to be here
Your website is so packed with info about everything that's going on in the rest of Europe, that it's easier for me to just follow this forum, than to surf the net myself.
