| I doubt you'd have to send a certificate for the marathon they organised last year. |

Ah, it so nice what you guys write about Berlin .... considering how it gets whipped down every year in German Skate Forums .
For the ones doing the first marathon in Berlin, yes, definitely get some paceline training in AND do as many nightskates as you can (being always in the spot where the greatest number of people are) to be comfortable skating with many people around you - close around you ! There is nothing like the feeling of heading with five lines into the sharp turn at the end of Kottbusser Damm
People giving a time less than 1:30 usually have to prove that time. I do not know if they check everybody under 1:30 or just every umpteenth entry or so ... but, if you do any race before Berlin of which the results are published on the internet, you can still get the upgrade at the trouble-desk when you pick up your number. Even if you have just a half-marathon time of well under 45 minutes, that should be proof enough.
Regarding accomodation ... have you considered private accomodations, yet ? Might not cost you more than paying the hosts bill at the "pasta party" or something like that.... Robbys flat does host whole regiments for the marathon (sleeping bag and airmattress required), but as the former "usual" occupant teams Barclay Card Inlion Girls and Saab Salomon do not exist any more, I'd say "First come, first serve."
Best feature : the start is in skateable distance |

| Nope, haven't looked into it yet. Will ask hubby who works for BA for flights. Anyone else interested in flying scheduled at decent times give me a shout. |

I don't think he can do flights that don't originate in UK. Will ask though. |

| I'm not a fan either since I live an 80p bus ride from Heathrow but Schoenfeld is a better airport to get to Berlin on than Tegel as there is an S-Bahn service. |
