And Ed! & Duracell - assuming the restaurant is still serving food at 11pm... |
Alastair, perhaps Duracell and I can join you...we'll probably arrive as you're all having deserts.
I can call/text you when we arrive to see if you're still there, and maybe put an order in? |

I'll add a couple more places and make reserve for an extra large table (plus chairs)... Unless Andy and Tanya find something else, it'll be the restaurant close to the Three Pigs on Stressemannstrasse.... |
Hi there, I'll be up for a meal Friday night! currently in Munich and have a 6hr wait for my flight to Berlin .... |

So what do people really think about the weather forcast? I have no rain wheels other than the Hypers that I have already worn for two marathons and the 111KM. May have to fork out for a set of PCR.
Let's hope Mr Weather man is wrong.

| Back to food again (sorry Glenn), anybody have a name or address for this restaurant? Is it the place we ate at two years ago when Linda arranged it? |

Well Alan - hopefully, my e-mail will be irrelevant and everything will be fine. Enjoy you're food. Would love to catch up with everybody for a bite before the party Sat night - but Friday night, will probably have a quite one.
Best of luck everybody,

Satuday morning I went to teh expo (in the rain) and decided not to participate this year (I know, it's a cop out, but I had other things that I could have done, so did those instead.) Only having new matters with me, I realised that racing would have been a joke.
I was at Alexanderplatz for the leaders, and it seemed to be a very slow race - I think they came past at about 5:40? Not sure if the race started late...
Hope all those who did choose to race had a decent one and no falls. |

Results posted on the Bont forum indicate a 1:12:30 win, so it doesn't sound like it would have been a great race for anyone to set a PB |

Well we had good fun guiding. It was an all wet race - with pouring rain at times, and big puddles on the road... So a lot of people took it easy and we all had a good time. There were no severe crashes reported, and so far I only heard that Nats and Rick had falls - without any injuries. Of course our guide group missed the planned time of 1:25 - ahem - a lot actually. But we brought all our group home in one piece, with no falls and huge smiles at the finish. Michi also finished her "VIP-Guiding project" well and saw that her one participant made it safely.
It was a good weekend - very nice to revisit the course today to cheer the runners. But let's still hope it is dry again next year.
Good news for those who plan to do Cologne - the forecast for next weekend is very nice! |

* bounce bounce bounce alert! *
170th in class 655 overall 1:47:30
My personal best 2 years ago I came 862nd in class and 2671 overall with a time of 1:40::36
I am pleased as a pleased person in a pleased factory located in pleasedville
I felt so strong throughout... just blasting away at the front of the pace lines. I even had strength enough to start my sprint too early (twice) and recover back onto the pace line and still sprint away at the end...
I hope Cologne is dry.... (and I have enuogh energy left...)
(so far I've been advised to just rest completely all week... Is that the right thing to do? - should I potter along at the back of the LFNS on the Friday night before?) |

It wasn't that fast that is for sure, but I'm glad I did it, commical lack of grip in places had be watch people either skate away or me hamming to the front of the line trying to get heat into my legs while I had the grip.
Having seen the lines, and that oh so smooth black stuff I can see it would be in an amazing race in the dry.
Finished in a "sprint" at the front of my line (with Sol, Markus and AJ) a good vibe.
Not got my official time or position yet as finished vertical was the best I could hope for. |
