Now we're talking This was my fav bike to sell when I was working in cycle surgery. Great bike and not just because it uses campag (I'm a campag man for sure).
Still, it's a lot of cash, even at 0%. |

apparently Cycling Plus did a 'best sportive bike for £1k' feature and the Cannondale CAAD9 came top, besting the Planet X Pro Carbon (if you've not yet bust the bank for that Wilier ) |

Mmmm yes heard nice things about the CAAD9 too. I owned a Cannondale about ten years back and loved it. Certainly one to check out.

Planet X email says "Planet X are showing off a their new blingtastic TT bike, the Exocet, and two of their hottest 2010 road bikes at this weekend's Triathlon, Cycling and Running Show at Sandown Park in Esher, Surrey."
so maybe an opportunity to check out the Planet X option if you can get over there. |

| In case anyone is interested in this still I'm going to get a test ride on the CAAD 9 Tiagra and BMC Streetfire 105 (both ally framed compacts ~£1000) this week. Then I need to make some decisions... |

Just to confirm that's the Alu Comp version - it's a nice ride but not a bargain like the Carbon team.
Bought a CAAD9 105 yesterday, so I'm out |

FYI - as Howard says, it's the alu version, which retails at £699, so I wouldn't bid that high. |
