we might as well leave that time anyway... races start at 11:30 sharp. would be useful to get some warmup in.

Lots of pretty close racing in some of the races. Time trials took up much of the time. Points races are quite interesting. If you are going to blow up early in the race but can still finish it may be possible to still get placed. It happened to Channel. She won the first two sprint and came third in the next two but lost it after that but there were only 6 more points positions after that. Naomi PB was already lapped and could only come third in the points after that so although she finished a whole lap ahead of Channel, Channel already had 8 points to Naomi's 7 and got the bronze. ALex did well and won the race. She is much better on the distances and it's shame she isn't coming to Le Mans.
Gav managed to not come last twice and didn't get beaten by any of the girls in the time trial. Although if he doesn't pick himself up for next year then Charlie Wells is going to stuff him.
Alastair took the bronze in the Veteran Mens 3000m. The only fogey race of the day. Not a very large field but everyone finished on the same lap.
I got the best result of the day by winning twice in the raffle. Who wants a game win my mini football? |
