|
|
Hey guys,
I need to buy some 80 mm wheels for my recreational skates.
Does anyone have any recommendations for the fastest/best 80 mm wheels going around and if so where I could get them. I have checked at Blue Room and will go with that, unless anybody has any better suggestions. Gav mentioned that some of the members/speed skaters may have a few lying around from when they used to race on 80 mm.
Also will definitely be cleaning my bearings (for the first time) this week, any suggestions for lubricating oil.
Thanks in advance.

If you go to the races you may still find some but I think the supply is starting to dry up as everyone goes towards the 84s and 100s. As I still race on 80s I'm trying to keep hold of most of mine, apart from a pack of Belotti Explosions (£18 for ten, PM me) but I've never used those so don't know what they are like as a wheel. Chris Stafford usually has a set or two knocking about. You will need to factor postage.
No idea where one would by wheels over the counter in London.
If it's street skate bearings you are lubricating, Mike VE swears by grease, I thend to use GT85 as that's what I have in the car/skate bag with me. |

Thanks for the reply. in the end I picked up a set from Blue Room - so hopefully they should do the trick.
Cheers,

If anybody has 620 EUR cash floating around and wants to pimp his skates a bit: You could get a set of full ceramic beardings:
See this page (Google translation).
4x100 skaters have a benefit here, they save 124 EUR maybe I ordered the wrong frame after all |
