I am thinking of buying some recreational/slalom skates on-line - size 10 cross max.

Does anyone have any suggestions about reliable on-line sites to buy skates from.

Advice would be much appreciated.

First i'd definately try them on in a shop. The blue room in marble arch has some and then i'd try www.hockeygiant.com You'll pay for postage and maybe import but it'll still be cheaper than buying them here.

Clue is in the name. Hockey Giant sell hockey gear, that's all.

FSKs are more expensive in the US. With shipping and duty you are looking at getting royally ripped off. Buy them in the European Union.

Not sure where though www.hawaiisurf.com sell the Crossmax 4 boot for 199€ probably get a complete skate in CBR for not much more than that though.

www.prolineskates.com

They're great.

Got my Xmax and Pilot Pro V from there...  As long as you're sure of the size...

Thanks Guys,

Checked out proline - unfortunately, the largest size they have is a 9.5 - checked that size out at Blueroom - and that's at least a half size too small (that's the largest size they have at Blueroom as well).

Not sure where else you'd be able to go actually.

The guys on serpentineroad.com may have some more ideas...
