I wanted to see who is interested in going for a little bike ride on this day.

[Edit - change of plan]

Meeting at Beckenham Junction at 14.00 for our own ride instead.  About 30 miles / 50 km, we'll take it at a slow pace and no-one will be dropped/left behind.

9am on Saturday sounds a little keen. I'd be interested if I could get up in time but it's not promising. If I am working then it'll be easier.

I would. Except I'll be on Q' ski trip. Maybe another time then.

Mike,

Sounds very nice. Problem here is getting there by 9AM. I would have to leave my house at 7AM (Not the best way to start a saturday for me ...)

Fede

Maybe we should just run our own one at a more sensible departure time, LOL!  That's a definite possibility if there are 5 riders keen.

Getting to Crystal Palace for 9 isn't an option for me either. Yes, let's run  our own! What a good idea Mike.

OK, so let's make it our own bike ride instead.  I'd say we go for a 14.00 start from Beckenham Junction.  Starting from by my house is a) easier for me b) you will thank me for not making you ascend the Crystal Palace hill on a velocipede and c) probably has more and faster train services from Victoria.

Everyone agreed?

Gav gets to tow miniMike in the Burley trailer.  Anything else and he will go bouncing mad innit?

See here:

I reckon he really needs an extra 30kg and a beast of a wind chute to slow him down for suitably proper training.

Not that I'm gonna make it this time round, but I'll still ask: is still suitable for moutain bike or mainly if you're a road bike owner? (cos mine's at home in frogland)

You can ride any bike you like, it's only 30 miles, on roads, and we will stop to wait for everyone.  No-one will be dropped/left behind.
