Ok, a bit later than advertised, but I can confirm that from "my side", the following people are ready to book:
- Me
- Liya (not racing)
- David
- Eliza
- Matty
Errol has also confirmed that he's ready.
Eurostar are still quoting silly prices, but DBahn have said the price is £120. It is a bit confusing because they said that group prices are actually 10 or more, and if that happens, I have to book the London to Brussels bit by Eurostar, and the remaining bit with them.
Anyway, if people are happy to pay a maximum of say £130 for travel, that should leave me enough to not have to go back and forth, but just get on with it.
In terms of accommodation, the Prodomo Messe hotel is looking at £55 per room (2 per room).
Can the following people confirm asap if they are still interested in coming?
Dan B
Speedy Dave
George
Pamela
Glenn
Howard
Diego
Silvana
Anyone else?
Depending on how busy I get later, I will either book train tickets this afternoon or tomorrow morning. |

| I'm tempted but can't take any time off work - what time trains are you planning on taking? |

After being on hold for about 25mins, I finally got through to someone at bahn.de (thanks to Matthew for the pointers).
The price by train comes in at £112.62p per person (as opposed to Eurostar.com's £300!), but can be anything up to 10-30% cheaper if over 5 people are booked.
Dates/times
Out - 02/10: 0857 (arr 1415)
In - 03/10: 1745 (arr 2133)
I'll probably know by the end of the week if I'm definitely going, and happy to group book. |

I'm really really really tempted, but think it's going to have to be a no as I don't think I can afford it this year |

I'm a definite for the train: please let me know how (much) and when to pay you, Ed.
I'm willing to tackle a group registration for the race itself. If you want in on this, please PM me with
- Last name*
- First name*
- Sex* (M/W)
- Birthday* (DD.MM.YYYY)
- Nationality*
- Street, number*
- ZIP code*
- City/town*
- Country*
- Email*
- PB time/place/year
- ChampionChip number (if you have one, otherwise it's E10 extra to rent one)
and be prepared to transfer E45 (55 if you need the rental chip) into my bank account in the next couple of weeks, once I know what the exchange rate is going to be.
I'll be sending the form off next week, so don't delay ... |

Sure, no limit at the moment - I just needed to know who is definitely interested in coming
Numbers already exceed the 10 required for a group booking, so I just need to get the final numbers. |

Ok Dan, you were the last that I was waiting to hear back from, so thanks for confirming. There's 13 of us, and after ringing around, for a group of that size, I have to book via raileurope, who have quoted me £128pp (group rate).
Dan, I'm not sure how you were going to do payment, but if it helps, I can send for free via my HSBC account...I'm not sure how favourable the rates are compared to what your route is going to be, but something to consider. |
