I'm flying Germanwings from Stansted:
Outward: Saturday 0805-1025
Return: Sunday 1925-1940
Anyone else, or are you all on the train? |

just got some forwarded race info from Ed!
it seems to start in the speed/teams section you need to have a best sub 1:20 and be licensed. So are most of the LSST members actually licensed?
i guess i will be racing with the sub1:50 group since i am not licensed - bummer!
Or is it realistic that I squeeze my way into the 'wrong' starting block? I guess the blue/red colour on the bib is a dead giveaway. |

I'm not sure about Stef and Alan, but the rest of us are on the train. Early indications suggest we should be joining you, unless the French decide to strike for the second time in as many weeks.
@George: There was nothing on the spreadsheet that Dan was sent that indicated whether we were licensed skaters or not. Hopefully, they will assume us to be licensed skaters, and block us accordingly.
Last year, I was given a licensed start block (can't remember if I was licensed or not), but chose to skate with the fitness ones, whereas Glenn and Dan skated with the big boys.
You might be able to get something sorted on the day...? |

You could always get the Fiss Race Director to vouch for you as I will be there.
Ed we starting in the rec block again and blasting our way through? |

What he said - they asked for best times, but not for licence numbers or anything like that. Take your FISS card just to be on the safe side, I've managed to get myself bumped up to the licenced block before now by asking at the registration desk. |

thanks for your comments guys! The trouble is that I don't actually have a FISS card (since I am not licenses, though I will do this for the future), so if I am on the Fitness block then maybe the FISS race director will vouch for me? |

I'm going Friday (GermanWings) 15.10, but returning on the same flight on Sunday. I am also at the Promodo. |

Dan / Alan, between yourselves, how would you feel about picking up our race packs given that we're not likely to get to the expo until 4pm on Saturday?
I do appreciate there are a fair few of us, but given the events of last year, it would be a huge weight off our minds. |

| Happy to do that if it's possible, not sure if I'll need some kind of documentation from you prior to say it's OK |

| Thanks Dan - I've emailed the organisers to see if it's ok for you to do so - I've also asked about licenses and what we can expect given that we weren't asked for any of that info. |

Like Dan I'm happy to help if I can, but like him I think he/we will need your e-mails confirming your participation. |
