Just registered. I hope the course the same as last year. The only real climb is the bridge over the river at the beginning....so not much of a climb at all. Gentle undulations on the rest, easy to skate cobbled section a couple of paths. It crossed back to the start for the finish last year, so it was mostly downhill for the last 2km. If you've saved a bit you can go really fast for the finish where most of the crowds are and if you haven't you can almost coast to the end and take their sympathy. Distance markers were not good last year to help out so familiarise yourself with that part of the course before the race so you know when you get there that you can kick for home.

Accommodation with probably be the Hotel Cristall again. Cheapish, handy for town and the station and a short walk or skate across the bridge from the start/finish.

Anyone else coming with me to this one? It's two weeks before Berlin so a nice warm up. I haven't booked flights or accommodation yet.

They were pretty quiet both times I have been there so probably no major rush. I just like to get these things out of the way so I don't have to worry about forgetting them.

I am going on BA again. It's £21 more expensive but i don't have to get to Stanstead or Gatwick. BTW germanwings have flights from Gatwick and the return is at a much more civilised time of 18:20 or something. No need to doss around in Cologne for too long BA flight is at a similar time for me then a short bus ride home.
