The K2 Cologne Skate Marathon, Germany’s second biggest and (in 2011) second fastest skate marathon, will again take place on October 14, 2012 within the framework of the RheinEnergieMarathon Cologne presented by Sparkasse CologneBonn.
Comparable to the previous years this one-lap race willl be the thrilling GERMAN INLINE CUP final through downtown Cologne. Coming up with thousands of recreational skaters and local, regional, national as well as international skate pros they all gather to celebrate the series final and season closing.
Nowhere else you will find so many enthuasiastic spectators who partially line up along the course in espaliers like in L’Alpe d’Huëz and cheer for the participants. Even the less fast skaters are celebrated like top athletes.
And after the finish line the big refreshment area awaits the skaters with a unique range of food and beverages.
The online registration is opened now. Early bird entrants subscribing prior to December 31, 2011 will pay EUR 39.00 per person only. (group registrations possible from January 2012) – a starting guarantee assurance and possible transcription to 2013 is included!

From my point of view, I would like to know who is definitely in so that I know to hold out until then, or do a Rick and register now.
Can all those who have expressed an interest, please let me know by the 23rd of December. If you're uncertain because you have questions about the event (location, race etc), please post and I'm sure between us, someone will be able to answer them.
I know this requires a degree of forward planning, but we're all used to that now, shirley! |

I'm uncertain, but not for that reason ;-)
I'd like to do this one again, but I don't think I can commit until much nearer the time so please don't wait for me |
