I suspect Peter will want to park at my place then I'll drive into town and pick you up then across town and pick Ray up. None of it is out of the way. Would hope to be at yours around 7:30/45 and leave Ray by 9pm. It depends on when Peter can get to me. Would like to leave my place by 6:45/7pm.
Pick up point is whatever is easiest. If you want to be picked up by your end of Lancaster Gate that shouldn't be a problem. If you want to take your bag to the Vic that would be very easy also. |

One of the nice things about the amount I've spent on dental bills lately is that the financial impact of last-minute decisions to enter races is dwarfed by comparison. So, I'm in for this one too (flying Germanwings - see you there)
S2589 : I gave them a chip number and a team name and my PB time from Hannover-Celle, here's hoping my lack of FISS doesn't mean i have to start at the back |

I have a question, (okay I have many questions)
Having looked at a few of the mails they have sent us (good old bablefish text mangler)
I notice they are doing blocks, I thought I'd be fine as they had a comically slow 1:40 something as the cut off, but that is for non licenced. I can't see an equivilancy thing with non German licences, can anyone who has done this sort of thing before, or who knows German give me a nudge in the right direction?
Think this is the URL http://www.koeln-marathon.de/fileadmin/koeln-marathon/pdf/Hinweis.pdf
Also they have listed my club as FISS, must have filled in the wrong field, but I can't see anyone else as in LSST in the search.
What have people entered as, LSST, LondonSkaters Speed team, The HansandGav show?

The rest of us have entrered as LondonSkaters Speed Team. You can just search for London under club.
I think we'll sort out the starting block issue when we get to the Messe - bring your FISS card with you! |

I registered as "Londonskaters Speed Team", but after the 22nd Sep, which was apparently when they last updated the list.
Later start for non-licensed skaters? Oh joy. Memories of Berlin 2005 ... |

| Oh, so I am. Obviously it helps to choose the right event in the dropdown. Still doesn't tell me what block they've put me in, though |

| There were 3 blocks last year. I think everyone in the club could get into the red block (front one) |

Only other thing, should we take sleeping bags/sheets for the hostel?
I'll try and change my club on the day, hopefully there will be an English speaker on the desk. |

Just looked up this year's informatin: They'll have a special block for licensed skaters (male and female), having gun timing and special start numbers. Apparently this is new, so expect not to be included there. However, if you show your FISS card that should get you in, as you're licensed with another federation. If you have a good PB that might also work or even happen automatically. All others will be started in waves, sub 1:40, sub 1:58, above.
Beware that if you "go licensed" you'll be subject to the full federation rules, e.g. men not allowed to draft women and vice-versa. |
