A few have expressed interest in this, and to get more information on this Stephen Airey (the person who is organizing this) is collecting email addresses. This should mean you get informed about the introduction weekends, and any competitions.

So, please send an email to pps.airey (at) gmail.com

I also hear that the first weekend of next season will be at the end of a week 26th) long trip for last year group, during the half term, so likely to be 31st October.

As always, more informtion will be on the UK longtrack facebook page, and even more in the group page.

The nearest airport is Saltzberg if I recall.

I think Natasha may join you on the Intro weekend in Inzell if you are doing that, so I may be hanging around, and if I can joining you on the ice, the smooooth fast ice.

Well that was fun!

The transition from inline to ice is not as easy as I thought, and highlighted technical shortfalls Confused
There are obviously a lot of synergies with inline, especially with the off skates stuff (I even have a set of "elastics" to play around with - it was either buy those or skates, and one was cheaper and more likely to be used than the other!).  There are a few ice techniques that I'd be giving a go to inline to see how well they work - "K5" and "pushing under" (rather than crossing over) are new terms that I've learned.

I would definitely recommend people to do this if there is the opportunity to do so.
Thank you Peter, and the Long Track team for the introduction and having us there!

Glad you all had fun, there are other weekends over the winter for those who couldn't make it all the way to Germany, give me a ping if anyone fancies it.
