Yep.
Route appears to be something like this http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=2751010 which actually comes in at 92.5 miles.
Not too hilly though, worst being the one just before the lunch stop (approx 50 mile point). |

I emailed one of the guys from the Hackney Club and received this reply:
| Quote: |
We're expecting riders of differing fitness levels. Before we leave we'll arrange appropriate groups with navigators in each bunch. I have no idea how many riders will turn up because there is not a registration process. It could be ten or it could be thirty or more. In any case we will respond to those present on the day and take it from there.
Details of the route & a map are on the blog page:

Hope to see you on Sunday

Hope you had a great day!
I wanted to do this as much of it is my regular Saturday morning cycling area.
I couldn't make the 9am start - but left Dagenham at 1pm cycled up to Chigwell then followed the route in reverse wearing my LSST Cycling jersey. Met some (about 10) cyclists (one on a recumbent) on this run between Stock and Hanningfield. They said that they thought that the cycling skaters were a little way behind them - so I went on to South Hanningfield (where my map ran out ) But no good - I'd either missed you or was too early. After a chat with a local cyclist (a member of the Brooks family - of saddle fame) I decided to return home via Billericay and Upminster.
Still a good work out. 60.5 miles at a gentle 17 mph according to my bike computer.
Weather was beautiful - scenery magnificent - natives friendly |

Shame you couldn't be with us from the start, and that we missed each other along the route. There were 4 of us skaters: Tom, Big Steev, Christine (Cherry) and myself. Tom and BS went off with the fast group, and Chris and Chris with the slow train. Our slow coach went through Stock and (West?) Hanningfield around 3:30-4:30pm maybe. Back to Whipps Cross for 6pm. I was a brilliant day spent with a nice bunch of people. I'm very surprised that I don't ache more than I do today. Aah, the virtues of stretching and paracetamol. |

Ray, we must have missed you by minutes. We reached the shop where the rest of the front pack were and they were still refueling. They said that you'd just left.
That was a fun ride, a really nice route and really nice weather. When I am king I'm going to ban all teenagers from riding bikes, that way I won't try and keep up with them.
Big thanks to Big Steve for the company and route finding skills. I had so little energy at one point that I'm not sure I could have made sense of a map myself.
111miles/16.8 average by the time I got home. |
