|
|
I know a few people have indicated that they might be doing the Dynamo this year, so wondered if anyone was interested in a warm up weekend in Suffolk?
As there is a lot on, I think the only possible dates would be 13/14 or 20/21 June.
Plan would be to have a 50mileish run on Saturday, taking in the lanes and hills (!) around the Deben Valley. Followed on Sunday by a similar distance but out towards the coast of the Bawdsey peninsula.
The distances are not meant to wear your legs out before the DD (or even Le Mans) but the time in the saddle is a godsend to prepare you for the overnight trip.
The drive is OK, straight up the A12, or trains even better at just over an hour (and cheap if booked in advance)
Everyone would be welcome to stay over at my new abode overnight (might involve tents depending on numbers) and there would of course be the obligatory BBQ on Sat night
I have the routes all pretty well sorted (actually did 40m of them on Sunday) and should say they are unbelievably scenic - just what the DD is not about as its dark!!!
Let me know you are interested and I will get on with logistics
** If you can't make both days, you could of course just come for the one |

Sounds like a great idea Andy. I was interested in doing the DD this year too. |

This sound very interesting!
I really wanted to start cycling some longish distances and your plan sounds attractive... |

| In Greece both those weekends. I won't be thinking of you. I doubt I'll be thinking about anything. |
