| According to WIC site they haven't signed contracts yet for it to be a WIC event. It is also not open for online registration so they may be right. It's also strange that Olympus marathon has been the Grand Prix event for the last few years and now HafenCity marathon is taking the crown??? |

Seems there are some major problems going on with that Hamburg Hafencity Marathon. 8 May is the weekend of the annual harbour anniversary parties, which would mean loads of people but also much trouble blocking roads I guess.
It is strange as GBC is supposed to be the highest German league, but they do not make their homework properly. Probably better to stick to smaller well organized races. |

Well, Merten has kindly registered me for Hannover that weekend. A nice warm up before the Netherlands tour.

| Just checked my usual websites, forums and the usenet again, as I am also debating where to go. No news so far - still May 8th, marked as provisional. Will post here as soon as I learn something. |

If you enter using the PDF form they provide you can enclose a cheque, but that might be quite expensive for you... the only other way seems to be debit from a German bank account. I did that for Rick while I was in London and could make good use of Sterling , but now we'd have the problem of you getting the money to me. |

| Do you have a link on that? All my sources still say May 8th, and to be confirmed. |

World Inline Cup Site says 7th May
German Blade Challenge site says 8th May
Confirmed by whom? It should lose it's status as I don't see how it can be a top class race on the 18th September as it clashes with the already confirmed North Shore marathon in Duluth, Minnesota, USA on 17th which has had registration open for 3 month now.
It works out well for me as I was planning to stay in or around Germany between Cologne and Berlin anyway. If this is true then I have another race to enter in the middle and I can take the club record back off Alastair so long as I beat his time from Berlin last year I was going to go to Duluth to get that but didn't want to spend all that money. |
