Hannover-Celle was so much fun last year (and fast, too) that I thought I should do it again. Point to point race between somewhere on the outskirts of Hannover, and Celle, which is a smaller town about, uh, call it 42 kilometres away. Lots of countryside, cheering villagers etc - bit like the one-eleven but without all the annoying "hup hup"
See the thread from last year
Registration: https://www.championchip.de/signup/signup1.php?meeting=6660&lang=en
Registered: Dan, Rick
Expressed interest: Roger, Kay, Ray
To pay: Roger has offered to do a transfer for the group
Getting there:
- Rick driving?
- Dan on Air Berlin outbound Friday am, Easyjet return (from Bremen) Sunday

I'd like to do this race. Sadly I do not have Euro bank account.
Is the best route via Bremen? |

I am still keen to do this, and Kay too.
I can make the transfer for 8 pounds, so divided by 4 its not too much.
Our current thinking is that we will stay out there for a week, probably doing some long skates further north in Friesland, and then taking part in the Hamburg marathon at the end of the week. |

Excellent Roger.
I can only stay for the Marathon hoping to get back on Sunday evening. It could be worth my while to get a return from Heathrow to Hanover direct (BMI) £99 incl taxes |

Best route obviously is to fly directly to Hannover. But going by cheap options, I'd say Bremen, yeah.
Michi and me are celebrating my brother's wedding that Saturday, so we're not planning to skate the Marathon this time. |

| In the meantime, there's Easyjet AND Ryanair both serving Bremen. So you should be able to find something that suits you. Also I do not know if "Orange Air" has maybe changed schedules. |

Which one are you folk entering? Does it make any difference (apart from €20) ? are they run concurrently? |

They are the same race but the European Masters has multiple starts for the age categories and genders. I expect the other licensed skater block will be behind. I have entered the Masters because I love being a 39 year old FB in a category for 30-39 year olds and probably on a non-comoperative line. My aim is to not be last in my category despite being less than 11 weeks to being in the next category. Never done a masters marathon. I missed the last one I registered for with a leg injury. I'm not expecting anything amazing but I do know the course after having raced it last year and hope to recognise the finish sprint early enough to have a stab at it. |

I am away next week, but I will organise the payments for the week after.
Is that ok with everyone?
I am doing the Masters, so I can wear my GB skinsuit |
