| I usually head to the vic beforehand: usually I'd expect to be there at about the time the skaters arrive (say, 10-10:30) |

| Cool - I'll be coming with David and probably Matthew, though maybe closer to 11pm rather than the early side of 10pm. |

| On the back of last Friday's ride, I am considering tagging along for this Friday's ride down to Brighton in case anyone wants to join in. Anybody registered for it? |

I forgot to reply about that post. I'd be careful about "tagging along"...I think Simon's quite meticulous about his process (I'm sure there are reasons for keeping a strict attendee list) and so unexpected cyclists might be frowned upon.
I would suggest checking with him first. |

Yeah, for insurance and other purposes (these are official CTC rides) Simon really does like to know who's attending. And this Friday's will have 4x the usual numbers so probably not a good one to add to the stress.
Drop him an email, though, and ask. You may get roped into marshalling. |

That explains a lot Dan. It's so well organised and I'm so impressed at the due care and attention made for these.
@Matthew: Do you have the GPS stats from your Garmin? I'd like to see the route we took. |

I got in touch with Simon but alas work got in the way big time on Friday and I never managed to make the ride. There's always the next one... |
