All,
The next squad training session will be in Tatem from 2pm on 17 July. Mark Simnor has invited all Cat 1 and 2 skaters to participate to help out. It will be a great training session and would be good to see lots of LSST people out there. |

Ooh - Cat 2, that's me now I might check it out...does anyone know what a typical session consists of?
Who else is going? |

I am planning on going.
I didn't attend any of the GB squad training this year so I am not sure what we will be doing.
But being a training session, expect it to be close to the sort of speed you would go in the track races.
It's a great opportunity for a very good training session, so I encourage people to take part.
On top of that you will be contributing to getting the GB squad a good training session. |

Indeed, it'll be a good session. The squad training was usually a warming up and then we used to try get the times, but I'm sure this will be a bit different.
It would be good if most of you go, and somebody might also want to join for next year. |

That was a good session...it left me a tad bit tired (a bit of an understatement, actually!). The session was an hour longer than we usually train for, but there were longer breaks. It was also quite windy, which made it that little bit harder.
What I really enjoyed was meeting the other club skaters properly.
I would thoroughly recommend people to come along next time, even if it is just to watch.
Thanks to Mark for running the session, and to Fred and Gill for encouraging me to go along.
Good luck to everyone off to the Euros!
P.S. Get well soon Jake! |
