I watched the Great North Run on TV on the weekend, for those who don't know its a large participation Half marathon in Tyne, had about 40,000 runners this year....

What was very interesting was that the course looked fairly flat/smooth, and before the runners went off, about 30 wheelchair guys started the race.
So I was thinking.....  |

Good idea!
(Though I think there are wheelchairs on the London running marathon also, and they won't hear of skaters doing it... ) |

this is a valid point! and the other thing I realised after posting, is that its obviously on the same weekend as Berlin  |

Still, no harm in asking.
If they're part-funded by Sport England, they may be looking to expand into other sports...
There are plenty of people who don't go to Berlin, and it's probably slightly cheaper for people from the UK to get to! |
