It was obscenely busy yesterday - I'd try somewhere else!

Well, good weather means more people to the park. Confused
Will still go down to have a go.
If it is too busy, will just go home.

That's what I did yesterday - I also tried the cycle lane between HPC and Speaker's Corner but even that was too slow because of all of the meandering Boris bikes.

We do need to be very careful in a busy park, keeping it slow and safe, and never risking a collision.

I saw you on Wednesday coming down the cycle path as I was going up it, and I yelled "Hi Ed" but I don't think you saw me.

Have you tried Brugess Park Ed, it's only about 0.5miles of a long straight (smooth) stretch, but might be less busy that HP.

Yesterday was Ok, not too busy.
Manage to do a few laps with Henrik, and saw Mike cycle past.

I was out as it got dark, did 6 laps. It was busy but ok. There were times when I did have to slow down and I have a bright new headlamp to warn people when coming up behind (by shining it on the ground in front of / beside them)

This one: http://www.maplin.co.uk/led-lenser-head-fire-power-chip-lamp-97729

It does produce quite a focused / directed beam. You can paint a circle (well, an elipse I suppose) on the road quite some distance ahead. Only 35 quid. Must confess half the reason I bought it was because it's got a very-bright-light, don't-look-at-the-beam warning on the packet. That and it blinded me in the shop when I looked anyway!

The packet quotes output as 66 lumens.
