Last night, Garan and me have started training our "at least once every week at Hillingdon cycling circuit" and Fred will be joining us soon as well as it's a convenient location for the three of us.
We are starting at 6:30, and everyone is invited.
Objective of this: hard enjoyable training, but any slower skater is very welcome.
I have emailed to book the venue, and waiting for answer, but as I spoke to the cyclists it won't be a problem, this is just a formality as the circuit is empty every night except Thursdays when there are cyclists but they don't mind us there while they are cycling as long as we have our lights on.
Waiting for joiners, any other convenient day post it here
We will try to not cross with Westways training if anyone wants to do both.

It was good fun! Correct me if this is wrong, but apparently the deal was that we had rear bike lights attached, in case there were cyclists - that's what they asked for wasn't it Julio?
So if anyone plans to come, bike lights a good plan. |

Behold the power of the brompton:
Cycle to paddington. 15mins to Southall, 20 mins cycle from there to Hillingdon. Simples! |

20 minutes cycle from Southall to Hillingdon...did you get lost? It's an 18 minute skate from my house and that is going past Southall. |

Yep, that's correct, we can skate "as long as we have our lights on" |

Is it a viable skate from station to track?
Else I might be able to make it in a month or so after I've moved. |

The answer I have got from the Circuit people is that they won't add us in the calendar for now unless there are lots of us, but as I said before, we can skate as much and many as we want, so I will email them again at the end of November for an update about our usage of the venue.
Tomorrow we will be there again 6:30pm, it looks like Ed and Barrie are thinking about joining us.

Don't know (yet).
See you there.
PS:Don't be like me, remember your lights. |

Likewise I'll be there. Weather depending. If it is tipping it down I'll hit the gym. A light drizzle and I'll still go. |

| That was good fun hulyom. Would be nice for other people to come (so I can use them as a wind shield!) |

| Indeed!, it was very enjoyable, I might go there tonight as well as the cyclists don't mind, come along today if not going to Battersea. |

Turn right out of the station and left at the 1st set of lights into Beaconsfield Road.
Take that to almost the end then turn right into one of the side roads.
They all take you to The Broadway.
Turn left on the cycle path to the circuit.

My legs are pleading with me for a rest...I might try next week.
Have fun!
Out of interest, what does a typical session consist of? |
