thought Id share that all with you.
but since when did training involve doing one mile more than you do in a marathon?
Anyway, I lived through the experience, and wanted to share it with all you guys. It was that chick who won goodwood this year. |

Congratulations Naomi
about trainning I suppose it deppends on what kind of trainning you're doing.
It's useful to do some long distance trainning at a slow pace for endurance for example.
now you started you'll have to try all the different trainning to see wich one you prefer |

yeah that was here. I actually did an hours spinning after getting off the flight on tues, and also did 2 sessions of speed training with the seattle speed people.
AND I did a circuit of central park, but that doesnt count as I was on my own.
can I just confess here that on all 4 occasions (not the central park) I really did try really really hard? I really worked! AND I was really into the whole 'now wheres my carbs going to come from' after each occasion.
yes, it was with Erica. She's really nice, I really enjoyed training with her. I was worried I was too slow for her, but I think we were well suited. she said that at goodwood everyone seemed to be having a laugh and making fake breaks before waiting for eveyrone and stuff. what was going on?!
yes pete, you'll see me in berlin.
Hey fred! and yes, I know what kind of training I prefer, I love the type where you just let yourself loose on endless tarmac trails through parkland & countryside. Unfortunately we dont have those in zone 1... and also, I need at least one other person of similar ability in order to push myself.
Ive not been doing slalom training because I get this horrible sensation of self disgust and hollow soul after each time I practice for the barca comp. So speed is my current release. Loving it! last night I wore a cycle jersey, small black excercise shorts, and my new sunnies - I looked like a proper one of you lot! I posed in the mirror and had Katherine take a piccie... |

Errm, there were a few shinanigans, some breaks to test another visiting American we were a bit worried about, but it turned out with got the wrong one, we should have been worried about her. You live and learn.
Basically there was a fast LSST line with these two in, all chummy and working well for a long time, then it got mixed up, we dropped the bloke, then myself and Bea in swift order. After that (I understand) it stabelised with Erica, Garan, Dan, Fred and Hans, till the last few laps when they dropped Erica, in the last lap when Fred and Hans went out hard, Garan held on for a while but Fred and Hans were too strong, Hans had it on the line. |

| Something line that. There were 3 seconds between Hans and Fred (wearing my chip if the results look confusing) and another 2 secs to Garan. Didn't have enough time to have my camera ready for all three finishes it was that close. |

hey, it was mentioned to me this weekend in berlin that this came across wrongly (arrogant etc) - I was speaking about in hyde park, which is right next to where I live, and its the only place I skate - you guys all train in richmond park/tatem - I was just saying that popping down to serpentine road on my own when its quiet is no good for me, as Id just dawdle. Im really sorry to anyone I offended! |
