Here I think in fact.
Sad to say I'm in Sardinia, as it would be a proper giggle relaying indoors after all the ice. |

| I think Hans did, but had the "wrong" wheels on according to the Bont forum. |

That's only people who have been placed (ie 1,2,3) in a category race this year. No sure Hans has even raced in one this year, and he was 6th in a heat at the indoor champs, which is what this thread was about. To be fair he did only arrive as the heat was about to start and was given just enough time to get his gear on and do a couple of warm up laps.
That sort of thing happens when you don't change your clocks |

According to the results, Adrian came third in the Vetrans - which just goes to show you how competitive the vets must be ...
Well done to Matt and Adrian for comming home with medals.

You've got to remember that Michael McInerny became a veteran for the first time this year. I say that because he looks like someone who has been around a long time but he's only just 35.
Chris Stafford is also a veteran now though he only raced the relay. Perhaps he's in denial. Andy is finally admitting that he is an old boy after staying in seniors. The rest of us just found ourselves further down. My chance of a British championship medal may have just evaporated unless we have introduce a vets only relay.
Other thing to note is that Adrian made all the early running in the 1,500. It was difficult to actually get away in the circuit. I had a crack at it to assess it before moast people had arrived and found it quite wierd. Not sure if I was slipping on some bends (that's what it was feeling like) or it was the loose tiles moving. If it is was the latter then I had plenty of grip but it didn't feel like it. I wasn't hammering it either. With a bit of practice on the surface I think people could have done very well against those that hadn't tried it out. |
