We're pretty much coming to the end of the "racing" season, and now entering the all important "off season".

Historically, for me that meant hanging up my skates, getting out the TV planner and ensuring a well stocked fridge and snack cupboard.

However, times have changed, as has my waistline. After a self-imposed short break to reward / console myself on the year's glories or learning points, I use the off season as the perfect opportunity to go back to basics and work on technique and build an endurance base for next year.
This foundation work will then facilitate the spring / summer training where we look to add top-end speed as well as condition ourselves to peak performance to meet our goal/s, race-related or otherwise.

As a starter for ten, we see the return of the indoor sessions, which is a great opportunity to work on technique, and also to look at cross-overs.

Sessions will be held on Saturday mornings, 9.00am to 10.30am, with the first session starting on the 1st of October.

This is open to club members and there will a charge of £3 per session. The location of the venue is sensitive information, and can be found here.
Bear in mind that the venue is not heated, so it might be quite cold, so dress accordingly.

When arriving, you may be asked to sign in - if this happens, please do so, otherwise you can usually just head straight to the hall. Any problems, give me a call...my details are in the Members section.

My foot still needs more time.

On several occasions when I've driven they've been pretty keen for me to sign in . With reg and phone no., so I assume they want it incase they need to make contact re: the car.

I'm on a downgrade too, bloody adductor strain needs the time off skates..
no long frames for me for a while..
I will be along to say hi and deliver a loan bag to Will tho... plus watch some of the session.....
