I've done it three times now - don't know if I'm going to do that again... I couldn't train a lot in the last couple of weeks, was not very fit. After 45 km I thought I was going to die. I managed to find some groups but had to race alone a good part of the distance.
When I saw at the 90 km sign that I could at least crack the 5 hours border, I felt kind of a refuelling - and put in the rest of energy that was left. But here at 90 km, the race really starts again - 20 km uphill!
Ah, and there was one guy with an LSST skinsuit that I managed to leave behind on that last bloody hill, on that neverending slope up to St. Gallen - reading your posts that must have been Eric But congrats to you as well, Eric - you managed to stay below 5 hrs as well!
I WAS dead when I crossed that finishing line. |

Yes it was me, and you can imagine how I did feel when I finally manage to cross this final line .... I saw Gav straight away , he was jupping up and down and I was crowling to a chair.
Well now I am still alive, that that mean I survived this switzerland mountains ... well I will leave my skate to dry for a while.
Well done to everybody who participate as this is not a sunday stroll. |
