|
|
I’ve had a few enquiries from new members about what skates they should buy, I told them the best thing would be to try on someone else’s skates for fit, there are so many brands and styles and so few places in the UK to buy race and semi-race skates. So how about having them come along to Tatem on Sunday to try on other people’s skates?
Separately, if you have any kit you want to sell/swap, how about bringing it along, either on Sunday or if you don’t want to carry it, bring it to this week’s LondonSkate or LFNS and I’ll put it in my car and deliver it to Tatem on Sunday, all you’ll need to do is label it with your name so you can find it again.
Thoughts? Perhaps you’d like to state what you’re planning to bring to guage interest first? |

OK, to start the ball rolling, as I have just invested in a shiny new pair of Bont's, I am thinking of selling my Powerslide C4's with Venom 165mm mixed (3x100,1x90) frame. The official size is 41, but in case you don't know about these things, they fit the magical UK8 shoe size They are in superb condition and fully mouldable.
If you are interested in giving them a try, PM me and I will bring them along, if not, well I guess i will revert to plan A and keep them as a spare |

| I have a pair of nearly-unused Powerslide R2 Spirits (5x80, size 39) which I should make some effort to sell before they achieve classic status. By "nearly unused" I think they've done less than 15 miles. Complete with original wheels, bearings, etc, and heel brake (detached in box) |

| Sounds cool. I hope to be there. I've not put on a pair of skates for 3 weeks so will be on top form! |

| I've got a used-twice Salomon 5x84 frame that came with my Pilot IX's, maybe some of the kiddies are on these size wheels. |

| I'm waiting to see how much of Ray's skating equipment Helen manages to persuade him to get rid of, I reckon he could equip the whole team! |

It's not going anywhere.
It's all for the Skating Museum.

I'll have to figure out the entrance fee for visitors when I get back from France
But if anyone needs any size 43/44 stuff I might have what you need! Including Powerslide C2, Powerslide C4, Bont Zero etc. And I've got some frames as well. |

| New member Diego might be your size Ray, I'll give him a nudge. Unfortunately he won't be in the UK on Sunday. |

I might be coming, and maybe giving it a go...who determines which Cat I'll be in, and which one is that likely to be (3 or 4)?
<edit>Ah, answer found...I just read this post </edit>
Oh, and what time (roughly) do you think it'll finish? |

| Reckon about 4/5pm finish, depending on whether you hang around to collect your trophy or not. |

Or help your club mates clear up, which would also be nice. |
