Tony just announced that an agreement was reached with the WIC, under which the 24 Heures du Mans results will be included in the WIC Teams points calculation ; Tony hinted that Fila and Saab-Salomon had confirmed they would come.
We will have the pleasure to be passed by so many more rockets . |

I just saw that !
That was actually one of the strong feelings for my first Le Mans (2002) : feeling very happy with myself, blasting downhill, and then... wooosh ! the real players pass in a flash !
See you there ! |

| Be interesting to see how far last years #laps record gets passed. I think it is currently 178. I think we are expecting to pass the 150 mark this year (149 last year) but it won't be the same sort of improvement as last year on 2002 (136 in 2002) It would be good if everyone can do personal bests again. That means 3 or more of us will need to go under 9 minutes for the first time, for at least one lap. I think we have potential for 5 or 6 sub 9 minute skaters this year. I now want to knock at least 15 seconds off my average lap time of 9'44" to get that baby under 9½ minutes and take at least 10 seconds off my best to do under 9. If I can get a good draft for a third of a lap the second part is easy but drafts are pretty hard to come by on that circuit with no lines forming until the last 20 minutes when they close the pit lane. |

| Personally I read the caption of the picture: "Le Mans 2003...". That was easy enough... |
