| Hmmm. Thinking about it. Will be a very quick trip if I do go, maybe even a day trip if I can manage. |

Maybe Alastair J - he was kind enough to take Fred and myself there last year.
I'd be interested in a car lift should there be enough spaces. |

Probably coming
Will need a lift one way as I'll carry on towards the east of France after that. |

So, question to people who did the full marathon last year (or who remember it): what's the field like? If I can't keep with the front pack for the duration - and let's assume that's a strong possibility - are there slower lines, or am I condemned to limp round on my own for the rest of the race?
I'd rather put in a good time in the 30km lead pack (last year I was 18th, I think) than spend half a marathon skating solo. On the other hand, doing the proper marathon has so much more cachet ...
(I suppose I could always wait until I'm lapped and jump back on, 3km behind is about 6 minutes back from the lead give or take)
Oh, and has anyone registered? Is there a web site and stuff? |

Speak to Fred about losing the pack I think he did the majority of it solo, and presumably couldn't jump back on due to cramps and stuff and possibly the following...
There also seems to be some rules against drafting the lead pack (Open and Marathon - possibly because you might be considered 'interfering'), so if you lose them, you could end up doing it solo. I got told off for drafting the leading ladies in the Open, shame really, I think I could have kept with them |

Hmm, sure I met someone I knew in the open who was in the lead pack and a lap down ;-)
Mind you, they may police the marathon a bit more thoroughly |
