JonRBUK,
I think it was Gordon (SkateAttack manager/owner?) who mentioned something about it, when I was in the shop trying to get some wheels. He could have meant sales team I guess..., but I took it to mean competitors.

| Not Norman? That explains it. I don't believe they have registered. |

If people wonder what is a marathon distance, we have yesterday roughly done it at FNS special monopoly skate (www.lfns.co.uk), in about 3h15 hours including 2 rest stops.... plus all the traffics stops...

To copy my post from the Serpentine Road forum (here)
I am extremely happy at how well the event went off, for me the most exciting aspect of it was having the number of professional international skaters that had travelled from Italy, Kenya and even India!
The Italians from Team Senigallia dominated both races.. the photo below of the half-marathon leaders has them in front, with George Muiruri from Kenya in 5th (he came 2nd at the finish). Watch out for him on the ice for Kenya in the 2006 Winter Olympics (he's hit the qualifying time already)
Still waiting for the pics from the full marathon, but Mauro Guenci (Team Senigallia) blew apart the front pack and left everyone defeated by attacking every hill and wearing them all out. He did 6 sub-3 minute laps in a row ... absolutely incredibly strong skating! And won by over 2 1/2 minutes! Marcel Louw from South Africa came 2nd (recently having competed in the World Championships), and Luca Bagnolini finished in 3rd (former European Champion I believe).
Thanks everyone for a great day!
