Big Steev will move faster at the start, so he isn't left behind
Tom will eat more salt
Ed! will keep up
Howard will follow the route
Matt will get new contact lenses
William will do the 112
Silvana will enjoy the hills
Diego will use his expensive bike at greater speed
Ray will cycle 230miles rather than the 130miles in the two days before
Eddie will let people know where he is!

Tanya will be at home on the sofa!

It was enough for Eddie to come in thirty seconds before me...Computer thinks an additional six miles + thirty mins or so to my total time - may well have finished last because of it  Sad

Least I finished though Very Happy

Indeed. Although it did alow me make an ad-hoc comparison between headwind (north -> south) and tailwind speed (south -> north) speeds:

with headwind: 11mph
with tailwind: 25mph
