I do almost that distance every commute, and not in flat essex neither. Sounds like you need a proper bike so you can evade said headwinds.  |

Good to see a fair sized LSST representation at this ride. The first 45 miles were great - fast with a pleasant following breeze mile upon mile at well over 20mph - all changed shortly after the turnaround at Pleshey. Slogging into the breeze was strength sapping for an old guy like me - the climb up the hill from Abridge to Lambourne End was a struggle
Now for a full length ride this weekend out of Billericay with warm sun and light winds forecast  |
