| Would have been up for this, but I'm away the first 2 weeks of Sept; also the Hoggs Hill racing falls on the same day (I would have thought that would be a better event for skating) and would be good to support a new venue (we really need it). |

Did this this morning. I took the short route (29 miles) and came in with Toby Ray at 01'57 compared to 01'25 for Goodwood to give you some idea). The surfaces are pretty average for one of these bike rides, probably better than L2B but not as good as L2C.
All in all it was a fun morning out with some great hills and a very nice pub at the end. I think about 17 skaters did it in total.
It felt quite rural, and, as we left with the first wave of cyclists from Richmond we didn't see much in the way of bikes or traffic the entire time as we were some of the first to cross the finish. The roads of windsor were pretty chocca with cyclists by the time we were finishing our pub lunch though.
I'd definitely recommend this to everyone next year. |
