As the December LSS thread is starting to get a little long, I've started this one for people to post about January LSSs.
(LSS = 'Long, Slow Skates', concentrating on getting the technique right rather than going as fast as possible.)
So far, Garan, LS-Mike and Linda J (and maybe me) are up for Tuesday January 2nd.
Details as previously:
Serpentine Road from around 8am to 9am. No particular meeting place - just start a warm-up skate along Serp Road, and you'll bump into someone else within a few minutes...
All welcome - you don't have to be an LSST member. |

pussy - Tanya, Ed, Glenn & I did 13 laps of Hillingdon in the pouring rain yesterday morning.... yeah... so... so... yeah... you'd better watch out... & stuff. yeah.
How will I know if you guys are going to turn up? can you either post here or send me your phone number in a pm so that I can call? even just one other person is enough for me to come down. Actually, I could do it on my own, but its more motivating if I know someone is there. |

Sorry, I had every intention but when the alarm went off at 6am, I lifted my head and felt sick so I put it back down on the pillow again untill 7.30.
I will try harder. |

Wow - Naomi the motivator - can you keep this up for the whole year?
I may go Thursday. For the record, according to Ed we did 16 laps of Hillingdon - including warm and warm down. |

Ah, you're just still bitter that I told you and Ed you were taking it easy at Hillingdon when you were 'sauntering' up the hills... My motivation usually lasts 2 weeks. Followed by another 2 weeks after whatever race I do. This 2 weeks is almost over.
where are you going on thursday and at what time? |

Sorry I didn't make Tuesday - had a touch of insomnia, and decided at 2am that I couldn't face getting up in so few hours.
Ended up getting to sleep after 6am, so all in all, probably a good decision...
Could well be up for this morning, though! |

Just texted Nomes and Glenn to see if they ARE coming along this morning.
Don't worry, this is a one-off - I won't be texting people this time of the morning again unless they specifically ask for me to!
I just woke up early this morning, saw people were thinking of going, and I'm only motivated to do it if someone else is too...
<edit> Nomes has replied - she's starting at 7:45! </edit> |
