| Could do depends how many of us there are. For about 6 we could quite easily do it all in one of our rooms if it's the same or similar hotel to last time I was there. However, I don't want to bring loads of paperwork out there with me as there is a weight limit on RyanAir. If you could make a session in London then that would be good and if someone could help me carry some of the paper out then that would help too. |

This is pretty much ready for a run through if someone wants to be my guinea pig.
Apart from the preparation section I have aimed it purely at the thinking side of racing. Situations that typically arise during a race, trying to identify them and actions to take (or not) so you are equipped with a response to the situation that you can apply rather than think after the race, "Damn, that's where it went wrong, I'll do somehting else next time." |

| I though you were just going to do it; but if you want to, maybe run some(all) of it past us this weekend in France. If that's not possible talk to me then and maybe we can arrange something |

Finished. The bulk of it was presented in Sardinia a couple of times and have updated it with some notes I made from the discussions. It's in the Library so available to members only for the time being. If it gets further refined then it can be distributed far and wide.
I am happy to go through this again for people that weren't there or missed it. Depending on the number of questions/people it takes 2½ to 3 hours to go through all of it. Alternatively, have a read and then ask me questions about things that are unclear. Some of it was written as a notes reference to me the rest is sort of essay style. It reads through the course of a race from preparation to finishing and then has some extra bits at the end for different races and equipment.
Enjoy. |

Thanks for presenting this Rick. I was glad that it prompted me of things that i knew, but didn't realise was significant.
The paceline section was particular useful for me: ie. if leading a line, pull out before you get tired AND your job isn't complete until you're back in the line. |
