The plan is as follows. Fly out saturday, hire a car, drive to Koblenz (1hr) to register, eat and then race. Grab a hotel in the area and then spend Sunday exploring (might be cycling, skating, swimming or eating or all/none of these - not sure yet!)
Get plane back! -- ED/ GLENN PLEASE NOTE!!
So far I have Diego, Glenn, Ed (TBC), Matt B (TBC), Me. Gav has an option if space.
Alan, Dan are also interested. I'm going to book one car.

| Originally I was planning to go, but am going to skip it and attend squad training session instead since there are only 2 before Euro Champs. |

Is the Marathon an "open" event?
Is there a registration link?
I am not registered with any national skating association, like FISS, is that a problem?
I have been on the website, but cannot understand German and haven't seen an English version of it. |

I am not FISS either; it is an open event.
My German is almost non existent but I think internet registration is closed. I think we will all register on the day. It's not usually a problem with Skate Marathons as they hardly ever reach their limit. |

Ok,
In my car is Glenn, Diego, Gill, Alan and me. I have booked a hotel rooms for you all too (up to 3 per room) - £27 per person. Staying at the Mecure.
I think Andy might try and come, maybe matt b and dan. Which would make another car (and leave room for a few more!!)
Roll up.
Hotel room is £30 each, £30 flight and £30ish car... |

I think I might be up for some more of that then since so many are going.
Feeling more motivated after the weekend. It's a nice race and I am not going on holiday until the following week. Not planning on doing Rhein Rhur the following day this year.
That's a really late flight back though. I woun't get home until about 3am on that flight so I am not really interested in group travel unless a second car want to go for the 18:10 return option. Same price. I've booked that anyway as I am happy to get the bus back from Koblenz if everyone else isn't bothered. http://ma.rmv-bus.de/Hahn/busfahrplan.htm
Outbound I don't really know how to get to Stanstead for a 7:20 flight either so I have booked a hotel a short distance away from Stanstead for Friday night. It's a twin room that I can probably upgrade to double occupancy if anyone else wants to join me rather than get up at rediculous o'clock. |
